The Missing Bit

From an abyss you lifted me up,
Taught me the meaning of love
And then you drifted away
Like a perfect harmony gone astray..

I still search here and there,
In me, in you, in places far and near,
The missing bit that was never found
That, which me to you had bound..

Only tears remain, of that time,
Even they have now turned sublime,
Every moment pricks me now,
With hope, I look at you somehow,
In your eyes I search for that sign,
That missing bit, saying you're still mine..
